awwww the Japanese men are crying (again) and seem so happy, this clearly means so much to them and my little baby Shinnosuke got a gold medal (which Doctor Kaya had to rearrange for him) and is absolutely beaming

USA did it when it counted and that's life. China crumbled; its star in shambles. But sadly men's gymnastics pales to ladies in interest. USA will be celebrating loudly and proudly. And getting ready for tomorrow's gold in ladies.

THE U.S. MEN HIT ALL 18 ROUTINES IN TF! WITH ONLY 3 SCORES UNDER 14! Oh my word, they were THRILLING to watch today! Wow. Such vindication of the team selection, especially for Paul and Stephen. All 5 did so well today. Happy Brody was able to have a great meet today after how his prelims went. Wonderful to see him smiling so big again! Their team celebration was priceless.

that Stephen can hit PH one more time. I won't make a prediction of his medal chances because the PH final is stacked and always anything can happen. He qualified in 2nd.

Back when I was on my university's women's gymnastics team, I was dating a boy on the men's team whose specialty was the pommel horse, so I've kept an interest in that event. I tried to find the American's routine from today somewhere, but all the videos on youtube came up "not available in your area"(Canada) .

I don't normally watch swimming (couldn't even master floating in kids' lessons
and am allergic to chlorine), but I did watch that race. Couldn't believe her speed! She made the others look as if they were just paddling along in the same pool.
