2024-25 Russian Nationals Women's Free Skate

To be honest, I was also a bit surprised. She used to score in the low to mid 160s in the Free with 1-2 3As and 2 quads.
However, Anna Frolova scored 149 at one of the stages in the Free with also only triples, and I would not score Sofia lower than Anna, so I guess it makes sense?

150 without ultra-c is good. few skaters get it.

Frolova gets 74 for PCS. 70 is reasonable.

She doesn't need exactly bombs. IMO one mistake from Frolova and she's behind.

Yametova was not better than Akatieva today for sure.

well (forgive me if i am rude) seeing her body growing, imo it is going to be difficult for her to be able to redo Ultra-C, i am not sure!

Eh, the scores were not that far apart after the Short. Sofia was like less than 4 points behind Anna (currently in 3rd) and apart from Dasha, none of the skaters ahead of Sofia but off the podium have Ultra-Cs at their disposal right now, so their Free Skate scoring potential is at most somewhere similar to Sofia's FS score.

I consider any fall from medal contenders a bomb. Depends what you mean by a mistake from Anna. A normal minus and shes still ahead thanks to SP. If she falls of course its finished but then we need Gorbacheva and Sadkova to fall. In fact I think if either of them fall one quad but land another they can still beat her. If Akateva medals it wont be good news for the next warmup group. Yametova already kind of dropped the ball.
Okay she got 164 two years ago, but there was an < and fall on the 3A, q on single 4T, the sequence was used on her 4T. This was before they became more strategic using the sequence as three jumps in the second half she used to do the euler combo.
Meanwhile this was a clean program.

I like her, but she doesn't progress really for several season already, and her programs this season were not presenting her best qualities.

At recent open test skates of Eteri's team she did clean 4T in the runthru of this program. But today she did not try 4T during warm-up so it was obviously planned to go the safe way.
She probably needs so somehow get an ultra-c to climb up.
