2025 Canadian Nationals: JR Women | Jan 15-17, 2025

Laurence Gignac - you can see that she has good foundations. Just needs more time for development and to gradually turn the doubles into triples.

Might look weird if you skip twice but you know, you certainly would not want to spread the flu you caught at Canadian nationals ;)
:ROFLMAO: Last week had too much snow/ice for me to get up the bank to the main road. There's a hairpin bend halfway up and one of the neighbours was already stuck there.

I don't think I've seen Eva Sicurella before (missed her at Challenge). I think she rushed some of the jump entrances and then made mistakes on them. She just needs more time for development.

Just ate bad rink food. Needed it. Back to my seat but I had the immense pleasure of seeing yoni from up close. Gosh he is handsome in a very magnetic way.

I'm still hoping Gabrielle gets onto NextGen, she and the other Kelowna FSC women could benefit from it.

That would be nice. Gabrielle kind of frustrates me - I'm convinced that she's actually quite a bit better than we tend to see in competition. I want to really see her at her absolute best, because I think it would be really good.

She did great at Autumn Leaves when she had to go on sooner than expected after an injury during the free skate.

Very solid jumps, but Rebecca's spins and overall skating quality need some work. However, considering that this is the first time she has ever qualified for Canadian Nationals at any level, that was a great competition for her.

Her jumps were good but really telegraphed. I kept thinking of how solid she was but also of how I had a hard time keeping interest in watching her since she was not projecting

Andrei carandiuc is uber cool. He's wearing Quebec flags on his cheeks and some sort of affiliated headpiece . He's having a blast with Charly ' s bro.,another ice dancer who split with partner before challenge. I like the Laliberté Laurent bros so I hope he finds a new partner

Aaaaargh! :bang:I had to spend too much time this morning on an involved email conversation and just now tuned in to the Jr Women. And of COURSE, Rebecca was just getting her marks, and then we take a break for a resurfacing. That probably doesn't happen every time, if I were to keep statistics, but it certainly seems as if my touch on the computer keyboard rouses the Zamboni and out it comes. Sigh. :drama:

Sorry you missed a fine pairs event
