I support the choice to retire Danse Macabre, which was not working for Maddie IMHO. But, this choice is—puzzling. And the costume is too fussy for her—Maddie is in no way a tiara kind of person

The costume doesn’t work for me either, but the slower tempo is a lot better for her skating, and she seemed happier out there than she has in a while.

Wow, Maddie sure knows how to excel in a pre-Olympic and Olympic season! As much as I enjoyed her Danse Macabre free skate, I think changing the energy of the free program and having a near-clean skate in the first outing of what will most likely be her Olympic free skate will hopefully help her have a great Worlds and beyond, and she seems to really enjoy this program.

Perhaps a little early to say so, but I think she could easily keep this program for next season as well, there's plenty of room for more choreography and refinement as she gets more comfortable with it.

I feel called out because the rather heavy hand on embellishments plus headband truly made me think of Korean junior skaters (whom I love dearly lol)

No, this really does look like something Minsol would wear - She has definitely worn a headband like this:

I hope that Katherine, Sarah-Maude and Kaiya all can get at least one more competition this season.

Well, I would send the podium to 4CC. Normally I would say for Maddie to just focus on Worlds, but I think she needs to compete that programme more before Worlds.

What Canadian record. We definitely have seen higher scores - short, long and overall. There were no super hard elements completed that were a first. Others have won m ore national titles. I liked Schizas new free. The costume I guess being in pink and an Asian good freeskates frm the top 3. I would love tto see Madi skate clean Madi is Canada's hope right now she has the speed, style and when on her jumps are great. The other ladies re a bit heavy andmore laboured with their skating.

I feel guilty for laughing at this because I have weak throwing skills of my crowns, so I often fear about results
