2025 U S.Nationals Senior Women's Free Skate

Is there a reason this song is so popular at sporting events(other than that it is likeable :) )? I heard the audience at the Australian Open tennis championships spiritedly singing along recently so apparently it is popular internationally.
I can't explain why it's so popular everywhere else in the world.

I'm a Red Sox fan, so it's just an accepted part of my life, lol

My thoughts
  • Hoping Starr has a good day
  • Looking forward to seeing Sonja's magic
  • Hoping Josephine feels well enough to skate happy
  • Rooting for Lindsay to have a positive experience today
  • I really want to see Elyce find her smile - her face game needs wok. Get out of your head girl!
  • Mia show us your new style

Yes, I also heard it recently internationally and was surprised. I can't remember where. And I don't know the reason...

Ashley's right that it was a good idea for Starr to not add the combo onto the last 3S - the only combo she could have done was a +3T or a +2Lo, as she'd already done her three-jump, axel combo, and had two +2T so a third would have been invalidated. Overall, that was by far the best free I've seen from Starr in years - she just looked so confident throughout the whole program.

So many cool moments from Sonja in this program! I loved that whole choreo sequence - both sides of the audience got to enjoy her besti squat - a great change of direction in a spin, an amazing 3S+2S combo, an incredibly difficult spin feature where she goes onto her toepick, and a really amazing step sequence! She is just so unique and engaging, regardless of how the jumps go.
