2025-26 Russian Junior Grand Prix - Stage 3 - Krasnoyarsk

Do you think its the hardest discipline? At the highest level?
It's hard to compare directly. Someone is more gifted in jumping, and someone in SS. Some couldn't compete in pair skating due to being too short (men) or too tall (women).

My message was rather that dancing is commonly underestimated. There were a lot of skaters who didn't succeed in singles and thought they could just switch to dancing but found it not less difficult.

I don't think its just SS also. I think technically in general ID is very difficult. And doing multiple sequences in one program must be very tiring. I definitely am not surprised that a lot of singles end up getting humbled in ID.

Welcome to Russian pairs. First warm-up in the FS at stages is still this enjoyable, and relatively clean.

Yes, let's say, high lifs are prohibited that doesn't make dancing lifts easy.

There are many ice dancers who never were in singles, by they way! Of Russians that's Mironova and Leontieva. Not sure about the others.

Filimonova/Pilnev - the fall might cost them a place unfortunately. But I realize Sofia Evdokomiva is now choreographer in Klimov's school.

Just one mistake in skate, but much bigger with music. Why using ugly cover when the original is perfect... :)

I'm interested to see how the girls' spins will be judged based on what I'm seeing in pairs. I am not an expert in pairs scoring at all. I have noticed some really bizarre spin judging this season in general though with the singles.
