2025-26 Skate Canada Challenge | Nov 27-30

Matthew popped better than Anthony. Doubles instead of singles.

To me, he will be in 2nd with 210+

Wow!! Aleksa on the podium

Cmon old timers!!
Go Wesley and Keegan!! The opportunity is for either of you to seize
Who is our third best Canadian Man?

gosh... I just realized it's 10h15pm here. I have snacked all day so I am not hungry but I didn't have dinner ... where did the time go ?

For the single skaters at least, will it be whoever wins Nationals will go to the Olympics? Or, do you think they'll do a skate off aike they've done in the past? I don't the skate off can happen at Four Continents as it's so close to the Olympics and they may have to submit their Olympic selection to the COC before then. Say Keegan or Gabby win by less than a point, do they still go? It will be very interesting. I wonder if Mike Slipchuck has told the skaters anything about Skate Canada's thought process in the decision-making.

They pretty much said that the Olympic team isn't going to 4CC during an interview at SCI with Debra Armstrong. Skate off is unlikely.

If there's a win by less than a point, it'll come down to body of work.

the criteria have been shared already

Nationals is only one part of it... body of work for the last couple years counts
Also, who is fit and ready.

If Gabby won, she has a win in a Senior B.... and that's it. The last 2-3 years, she was injured. However, I'd say she would still have a chance because she looks very fit right now. In her case, all the jumps she had have been recovered.

I don't think Keegan has a chance of winning nationals so it ends there for him. Unlike Gabby, he is not fit and ready to go. He was beaten by a Canadian junior in his senior B competition. (Grayson). His quad and axel are still iffy.

There won't be a skate off because submitting names for the Olympics happens before 4CC anyway... and 4CC athletes also need to be chosen ahead of time so everything will fall in place right after Nationals I believe. (probably not the Sunday of Nationals but just a bit later)
