I think it is an interesting program for the age of technology. Synchronized steps, some short and choppy like a text. They chose it because it is music they like to dance to. Saul is rather thoughtful about these things so I think they felt this reflected them best. Allison comes from an ice dance family rooted way back to dancing in hold and you can see how closely they skate together and how many times they got in an out of different types of hold and rotate around each other - very old school. I particularly like the fact that their choreographic lift has a scale/pendulum(?) look to it done low instead of rotating above the shoulders - who else does stuff like this? The equivalent of time passing while you are waiting for an automated response. There are all sorts of little nods to modern communication. I like that for as repetitive as the music can feel, that they kept finding unusual things to do to it. You do not have to love it, but maybe this will help you see something new and different about it to amuse you while watching.R/A: There was some good skating in there but I do not think this is an Olympic worthy program. It screams gimmick to hide flaws. I know they're loved and I have nothing against them but their material is not sophisticated at all.
