I can see where MG lost GOE but this is the couple that would 100% win the Olympics if they could go so it's a bit shocking to me the lack of support because she caught an edge on the throw. It feels like they are being retired. Thought they'd be a close second in the free and win.They really made it. Didn't expect that.
I hope this isn't a bad sign for M/G's future.

I'm not sure though. M/G had only one mistake across two programs. B/K had many. The throw's BV is very low to cover that.

TBH I don't know if I agree with the PCS gap but, falling on a throw like this is ridiculous.
It was more unfortunate with the old costumes.
Oh, yeah. They all know that was the difference between first and second. And, it's something that happens so rarely.

In short, Dima praised Sasha for her strength and will and stamina to insist on quad throw and then make it stable. That was the element that made them champions again.

I honestly think this was way more unfortunate than what preceded it. Previously there was a specific technical moment where they consistently came short. They changed it for today and everything was supposed to be perfect. The fall on a 3F was truly abject misfortune and completely incomprehensible.

I actually thought it was electrical cabling from some of the TV equipment.
But if they had stayed on it, it would have provided a great comedy moment for whatever the Russian equivalent of "It'll Be Alright On The Night" is!

I think is cruel to put one besides other to know who is the winner in pairs.. because both really want it
Pairs are the best discipline to watch because it's a true competition ...I think B/K deserve it ... They needed a break from last year ... the FS is better and if you try a difficult element with little gain for the difficulty .... maybe you deserved it a little more ... but like always ... between these 2 pairs is always a winning for a small margin ... or because one have a little more luck than the other... they both could have won
I don't think the juries were biased between one or the other. But after a 4thr I think in russia is very difficult to justified some one winning with a fall...
I liked the suits of M/G but I think the program was better with the older versions, even though they were less elegant... and being an old program... we've seen it run more perfectly before.
I think next year the bronze pair will be a true contender for gold .. I really like there energy , speed and the fact that he can do everyting despite the little difference in heights
P.S. I think Boikova will do a lot of a single and combos jumps when she come back to sambo ... and Eteri is probably thinking that is better put a 2nd 4throw given that at this moment there is a greater probability of Boikova not falling in the 4throw than on the other jump elements.
