I did not mean to make you cry but to say he tried his very best today. It just wasn't meant to be.You know 150 was Jimmy Ma's best FS score this season - so good for him...
Knowing Jimmy - he is pleased that Max got the spot.

Also, Torgashev should have scored even higher tonight. He deserved 90 PCS for that program.
I’m sure he is pleased for Max. He dropped from 5th the last however many years to whatever he was today and I am sad for him.I did not mean to make you cry but to say he tried his very best today. It just wasn't meant to be.

Imho this is an unfair insult to teenage girls. The most obvious fragile egos and personal vendettas in current society seems to be mostly held by middle aged and old men.No, because the committee isn't comprised of 12-year-old girls.
Ilia put his hand down. I was shocked!Tomorrow is going to be interesting.
Personally, being in the audience, I wasn't excited because of his simplified content. He did what was right for him, but seeing a bunch of triples from Ilia Malinin was just straight up not entertaining for me.I think excitement surrounding Ilia's performance here suffered a little from the audience being deflated about Jason and Tomoki.
So am I. But nothing will hurt me as much as when I lost Tai & Randy...I’m sure he is pleased for Max. He dropped from 5th the last however many years to whatever he was today and I am sad for him.

Both Tai and Randy are beautiful people inside and out.Tai was here tonight.
I’d love to meet them. Both Tai and Randy are beautiful people inside and out.
I hear you but, Ilia didn't go in 2022 after taking silver so this is going to be a tough one because they have to build the team event and not sacrifice the individual events especially for Ilia. If I recall correctly, the men's sp is very close to the team event. Ugh. I hate this.

I am the biggest Jason fan there is, but I really don't think he will. He just did not skate well enough this weekend. He has been the clear number 2 this whole quad, but I don't think his BOW this last year or so is enough to mitigate that disastrous skate. I am sad. I wonder if they might send him to 4CC - or Worlds, if Ilia doesn't go - but I'm not even sure of that. His 3A has abandoned him for some reason. I wonder if he is not all the way healthy.I really really hope Jason makes the team.

Well, Torgashev could score anywhere from 135 to 190. He definitely has the highest ceiling, sans Ilia. I could see him placing anywhere from first to fifth.Team event is a no brainer.
Pick two of Amber/Alysa/Isabeau.
Pick Chock/Bates and Zingas/Kolesnik.
Pairs whomever is picked.
Ilia can do both segments for men - but if they want to rest him up just have him do the SP and whatever US man can do no worse than 5th in the team FS.
There are variables, especially in which country makes the free between Canada and France and the pairs SP standing, but realistically US is just about giving the team gold to Japan on a platter if Ilia and C/B don’t skate both segments. Ilia may have to bite the bullet, especially with how Nationals turned out.Team event is a no brainer.
