Ice Dancing - Free Dance (Mon. Feb 22 - 16:45)

Yes, YOU find them an embarrassment, I DON'T - see, personal. You don't speak for the whole of the figure skating watching public.

I'm English and a Roman Catholic with Irish and Scottish peasant ancestry, why should that make the slightest bit of difference?

It's an embarresment, because it is MY culture they are mocking by running around in loin clothes, leaves, and leotards. Making a joke of what a true ritual looks like and then using gestures that are nothing even close to authentic. The best part is that they enjoyed the media spotlight, like this was all a joke. Domina saying that her dog picked out the music, what does that say about my heretiage, that we are a bunch of animals? I cannot stand them and I agree with our tribal leaders- it was crude and offensive.

I would LOVE to be standing next to V/M on that podium just to hear them sing "O Canada!" <3

And Robin Cousins just described it as one of the highlights of his whole ice skating career to watch and said he thought the Canadians had just landed their version of "Bolero"

All due respect to Cousins, but he must be out of his mind. V&M were fantastic and if they continue to compete may one day be as good as T&D, but that's just premature. OTOH, who can blame him for getting caught up in the moment?

Look, the costumes for D&S just made them look incredibly stupid. So if you were offended by them Cloudkicker09, be comforted by the fact they looked ridiculous and I would bet money it factored into their scores.

I love how Scott was belting it out, closing his eyes and everything - like he was rockin' at Karaoke or something. Such an amazing moment though, with the whole audience singing along.

I just love his reactions. His reactions are like Patrick Chan's comments - so honest and non-apologetic. He acts genuinely. His fist pumps, his jumping around, shouts of 'yes!' - just so genuine and how I think most of us would react in his shoes. Though so far to me the most beautiful moment of the Games is when he said 'thank you so much' to Tessa when in their ending pose today.

I do take comfort in that, but I would have been happier if they would have gone home with nothing, because that is what they deserved.

Robin Cousins is drinking the koolaid. V&M were wonderful. They were not T&D, who will forever be in a class by themselves.

Look at the protocols people,. Virtue Moir got FOUR (4!) 10s in PCS!!!

With no Canadian judge, four 10s!!

And again, you miss the point, it's personal to YOU.

I blame the costuming problem to the coaches. How could anyone be that class-less. This is Olympics, and D/S were dressed hideously for both OD and FD. They look so elegant in CD. Why couldn't they have been dressed like that for all of them They are such beautiful looking couple.

Nice typo, lol.

Aw, Tessa and Scott can't stop grinning. So cute. Oksana got caught with a bit of a grumpy look there.

Charlie has a cute smile.

LOL! Me so silly.

I've seen all the competitive performances of Virtue/Moir's free dance, but I've never seen them, Virtue in particular, looking so radiant and joyful while doing this incredibly difficult program. This is the happiest I've seen her as the goose:

Oh and I thought the massive group hug was amazing. Plus it was cool to see others congratulating them (Zaretskys, SamBates, and Jeremy Abbott were backstage giving them hugs).

On the contrary, it's all about emotion, which is the whole point. It's what someone feels when they watch something they think is special.

His quote was as follows
"It's one of the highlights of my skating life to have witnessed that free dance. I feel privileged to have been here live."
He reckons they would have scored perfect sixes, like T&D, had the old scoring system still been in place.
