2015-2016 Programs by Discipline

Sota's new SP...don't like the vest, but like the ending of this program.

Show version of Shoma's new LP ...He moves well to epic music.

Show version of Dice's new SP ...is it just because the music is sentimental that I like it so much? Or has Dice really improved over the past few months?

Mura's new SP...Nice haircut, and even better footwork.

Can they collect as many GP and JGP golds as last year?

And here is another program report. As promised, Hiroaki Sato does Bolero in a skin shirt with bedazzled nipples!

He's serious about his art!.

Just to sort out any confusion, are these new ex numbers or are they programs? I thought I saw comment that the Japanese skaters were presenting new competition programs at the show.

I dislike the costume at any rate, but if it is for competition, I doubt not that the judges will all be hitting the costume violation button as soon as he comes out...

This is his EX. And just for fun. ;)
I may be alone in my appreciation of the absurd. Oh well.

Wow! It's not just the music. He's much more stretched out and fluid. Just beautiful. I've always loved this piece, and I was a little reluctant to watch Dice's version because it is one of the few programs I really like of Jeremy's. So I thought this might be "been there, done that;" but the choreography is lovely. Getting excited! Just might have another battle on our hands in Japan.

Hmm. I'm not unduly impressed with Mura's SP. And I was so looking forward to seeing what Charlie White could do as a choreographer. It's just rather...uhm...tepid. But early days.

Marin Honda's New SP She will join the ranks of Juniors this season.
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2uv11n_本田真凜-2015-2016-新sp-doi-2015_sport

Yuna Aoki's New SP She will also become a Junior this season

Both very talented girls, but I prefer Yuna's program at the moment.

Wakaba Higuchi's new SP http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2uusfu_樋口新葉-2015-2016-新sp-doi-2015_sport I think her plan is to put all jumps in the second half.

I absolutely love it! :o: :cheer: Not only it is hilarious, it actually requires great skating skills, dancing ability and stamina to pull off this ridiculously fast program. And his spins were great! There was a buzz about this program from fans who attended DOI, and now I understand why.

A fellow fan! great! Go Hiroaki!

Last but not least, Satoko's new EX http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2uv2fj_宮原知子-ex-doi-2015_sport
The music is a bit  but I love how she can use the umbrella so cleverly as a prop. It's so difficult to jump while holding something.
Most skaters use a prop for about 10-20 seconds then throw it away, but Satoko kept the umbrella in her hand for the whole program. -Pretty impressive. She's also finding ways to be a bit more extroverted in her skating which I appreciate. :points:

NO ...well at least now we know that whatever mostrosity another skater can think about can´t top shiny nipples...

Hmmm? I really appreciate sense of humor. That outfit was ridiculous but that program was quite ridiculous too. It's up there with Javi's Aerobics Instructor.

This is his EX. And just for fun. ;)

Oh, you're not alone. Judging by the standing ovation, you're certainly not alone.

Nooo I'm totally with you ! THIS is an EX program, with humour, absurd as you say, entertaining as an ex should be, in my personal opinion :)
I'm also enthusiastic about Shoma's FP, it has a great potential and Wakaba's short too.
I really dislike Les Miserables but I agree to say there's a big improvement in Dice's skating.
I can't wait to see all these programs, off season is too long...:slink: ;)

That's lovely! The music is a little strange, but I think it suits Satoko, who is tiny and not an in-your-face kind of personality. Something really loud and bouncy would overwhelm her, I think.

wonderful music for Hongo!!!! really suits her, so excited to see her in competitions, wel done Akiko!!!

It's a very fierce program. I love it! I felt like it got busy toward the end but maybe she just got a bit tired and so it looked labored. Anyway...it's a great program and its gonna be fun to see develop next season.

It's a bit of an unfair advantage to have Akiko doing your Choreo ;)

INXS for a waltz? Well that should be uhm interesting.

Well lets hear it for at least two teams willing to go outside the box. Now I'm curious about the rest of the skaters in their team, P/C, H/D, Hurtado/Diaz, P/I, who else am I forgetting, hmmm. This is gonna be so cool.
