2015-2016 Programs by Discipline

Even wacky inflatable tube man has some good moves worth not only taking note of but for some people even copying them :)

:laugh2:

Well since no one has said it, I might as well say it:

According to Alaine Chartrand's Instagram (@alainechartrand), her programs are:

SP: Pina. Choreo: Shae-Lynn Bourne
FP: Gone with the Wind. Choreo: David Wilson

That sound like a winning combo. Love Abbott's Pina, Shae-Lynn will bring the sass and edgy. Can't wait for Wilson's GWTW, hope it is going to be an epic one. Canadian ladies looking stronger this year with Osmond appear to be back on form..

^^My gut feeling has became true, more than 1 Gone with the Wind this season.. Can wait how David will handle GWTW music!

You're not so bad yourself Layback11!! I love your positivity and enthusiasm

I think some people would probably tell you not to encourage me though:laugh:

Do we know Serafima's programs? Or who is going to coach her on the GP? Last I remember hearing was it was all up in the air. I hope she is still getting proper funding and is not being overlooked. She has so much potential.

1. Aww, thanks! I really do find those inflatable thingies rather charming...

I remember I sent you a friend request after you made a comment about throwing internet pies at warring members of a certain discussion I don't wish to revisit. And that's how it all began, LOL :laugh2:

2. I really have no idea, but I like her better than Evgenia (who usually beats her, so I think it's smart for her to stay down for the season), so I hope she's going to continue competing and everything. I expect her to win junior worlds and the JGPF, but I have a feeling Wakaba Highchi might give her a run for her money. And I'm going to go out on a limb and say I think Vivian Le is going to be a force to be reckoned with this year...

Oh dear, I've :hijacked:

Edwards/Pang

FD: "Bacalov: Misa Tango," choreo by Mark Pillay

The article also has two pieces of news (at least to me):

- Maddie has an ankle injury -- forcing them to cancel their summer comps, which would have been Lake Placid and BC Summer Skate. They look forward to competing in the fall.

- They will become full-time Seniors this season. No more Junior programs/comps.

Stephane Lambiel: "In any program Tuktamysheva Netrebko is singing"

Choreographer Stephane Lambiel told about the new programs of the Russian figure skater Yelizaveta Tuktamysheva.

"The free program she will perform music from the opera" Peer Gynt ". Particular emphasis is placed on the middle of the program, which will be a very romantic moment under the "Solveig's Song" sung by Anna Netrebko.

But in the short program, she will appear in a completely different way by blues composition. But in each of the programs, it looks good.

I think that Elizabeth was able to experience how to present themselves on the ice, so it looks really artistic. So I expect a very interesting season for her performance, "- said Lambiel.

Serafima Sakhanovich just posted this picture with tags #kp - as in korotkaja programa (in Russian) or short program (in English) - and #16ton - that could be her music for sp? Didn't Elena/Nikita dance to 16 ton in Sochi or am I mistaken? Anyway, it could be interesting to see how Sima can pull of a jazzy program.

And this is just my speculation, not the official music choice.

I don't really follow disciplines other than men, I certainly don't as much about the Russians, and I have no facility in Russian whatsoever, but ..

16 tons? Tennessee Ernie Ford? I'd watch *that* SP:cheer2:

Is this a confirmation that we will be watching her skate that thing all through the season? :hopelessness:

Or is he just annoyed that they appear to be veering away from his choreography? He is very direct while Mishin and Liza are being very coy about their choices.

Did Lambiel really think Liza was going to use that choreo, lets really put this in perspective, she's not that skater. I could be wrong, but if I'm not he shouldn't read too much into it.

Could someone pretty please refresh my memory with a link to the material be put together for Liza? Thank you :)
