2016 Skate Canada Ladies FP

Zhenia easy win, I dont see any threat for her at this moment.
After this shameless overscoring of Osmond, I want Elena and Pogo both get huuuuge scores next week (even with mistakes) above 210 :)

I also think Osmond was overscored a litte bit...
Considering both SP and LP I would have given Satoko the second place :)

I missed to watch ladies free program, but I feel very dissappointing for Elizaveta to miss medal. I hope she'll execute clean free program next event :/

4th place is disappointing because with this panel she could have earn that third place with her quality on the jumps, but it's not the end of the world. After the short she said they will try to include the 3A in the SP at the Cup of China, if she lands it, she will win the event and reach the final.

I think Elizaveta needs to also work on the choreography for her FS because it was nowhere to be found.

Mirai's protocol is even worse that Alisa Lozko's FS, almost every jumps is downgraded.

I said on this forum coming in to this event, that Mirai's biggest competitor here, would be, Mirai. UR's by some of the top US skaters, are not called as often stateside as they are internationally. Which begs the question, does the US system of ignoring technical errors, set a skater up for future setback?

haters will always hate.....no surprise..

Medvedeva's a great skater, don't get me wrong, but there DOES seem to be quite a lot of copy/paste by her choreographer. I don't think it's her fault per se, but I do hope to see some change by next season. The moves seem to be a bit detached with music, a bit like going through the motion.:ohwell:

its NHK ! of course, lol
home advantage counts... No Underrotations there, never....

her jumps were better at Japan Open and she got level 4 for her stsq at US Classic which wasnt in Japan the last time i checked

Congrats to the medalists! I thought Kaetlyn was quite overscored on her PCS (I mean, come on she fell and doubled a jump and her landings were somewhat iffy) and Med was somewhat overscored but the placements are what they should have been taking the whole competition into account.

I am one of Eman's biggest fans.....HOWEVER, He owes Tuk a refund unless he get's to work on an overhaul of her Free Program. She could always jump but, there is literally nothing but shallow strokes and weird arm movements between the Jumps and there is no way that program will make the podium at Worlds.

Glad to see Liza brought back her 3Loop! and she would have been on the podium if only she completed her 3T and 2A  when those are such easy jumps for her to miss  now she's out of GPF along with Mao and Gracie

And this is absolutely correct, because this is sport :)

exactly but medva USING TOO MUCH acting and pantomime ,dont you think? HEr faces make us laugh .But this is sport, as you say isnt it?? And great jumper she is not....lets face it

She could win her next, but yeah...The chance is small..:(

I think she shouldn't try 3Axel in short program because unsuccessful attempts affected her other jumps very badly.
