She also doesn't always flutzes to a degree to get noticed and penalised for that. She wasn't on tonight.

She did nothing wrong. It is the judges who are doing wrong

What you fail to realize is Kaetlyn rarely UR's , sneakers. These will kill a score every time.

it doesn't matter her TES and PCS were overscored in skate canada, do you think she will score that high in skate america, cup of russia or other GP event ?
not happening....
Of course not, but this could be a turning point for her.
If she skates clean at the Cup of China, maybe she will not get the PB but they have to score it high anyway, so it's up to her now.

That's literally no one's problem with her program
Talented girl, reductive and cheap choreography. She can do herself and us all a favor by never working with Averbukh again.
No idea what 'the era of Dancing with the Stars' means but I doubt Medvedeva's sp or lp have anything to do with it. Is 'don't do an offensive 9/11 program' asking for to much now?
Except its all OPINION. Just because you and others don't like Evgenia's presentation, artistry, doesn't mean she doesn't have any or the judges have to mark her low. Opinion is not fact or law
And the majority of skaters do have similar jump layouts and moves from season to season no matter what the music is so criticizing Evgenia alone on it is

I am New Yorker and find nothing offensive about it. Not sure what cheap means. She can work with any choreographer she wants.

I agree but lets get serious here this no worse and in fact far more palatable then Gracie's scoring at Skate America. We know this happens in your own country but there is something that Osmond has today - huge jumps that need to be rewarded and she has a sparkling personality that really transcends the ice.
Good for you. I'm a New Yorker and I'm incredibly offended by it. "Cheap" meaning: lazy, exploitative, insensitive, inconsiderate, thoughtless, tactless, trauma porn.
If that Golden Skate judging thread is brought back, I really hope we could take a chance to re-evaluate this event...
1. Evgenia Medvedeva:
If Evgenia continues to have good skates then her score will gradually get higher, even though both her programs aren't good. I'll be direct: The way she is overscored is the worst right now. Unacceptable. No complaints towards Evgenia herself as she is a lovely skater, but this judging issue is really frustrating.
2. Kaetlyn Osmond: At least, unlike Evgenia who is receiving inflation worldwide, Kaetlyn is only receiving inflation in her country. She delivered a good performance with an excellent 3F-3T, but the score should've been lower. I'm curious to see how her scores will be at her next event.
3. Satoko Miyahara: Poor Satoko...her FS is great but no value for the StSq and a couple of deductions really brought her score down. Satoko herself seems to be really disappointed with the way things turned out. I think she'll be blazing at NHK.
4. Elizaveta Tuktamysheva: Again, a not-too-bad skate from Liza. But the program really needs more choreography (not that it's a surprise since Liza's programs are always like this
). And it felt very underwhelming because she was right after Alaine who did a similar theme much better. Liza is still in the GPF qualifying mix and she is planning the 3A at COC so if she wins there she'll most likely secure a spot to the final.
5. Alaine Chartrand: Alaine seems to have finally found some consistency. Obviously not the most perfect performance, but still a good event for her. I'm hoping that this continues on. Also, her FS is starting to really grow on me. I think this could be one of my favourites by the end of the season
6. Rika Hongo: The judges still continue to hammer Rika. There was really never a time when Rika was given love from them and she always had to fight for her placements. Poor girl...
7. Da Bin Choi: Not the best performer, but nice to see her pulling off a decent performance here.
8. Na Hyun Kim: Too bad about the mistakes, but she has lots and lots of potential so I hope she works hard for Nationals.
9. Mirai Nagasu: I'm sorry for jinxing you Mirai...

well Gracie isn't making the GPF, maybe that will take off her burden and skate lights out in her next event. We all know, when Gracie skates clean, she gets huge scores !!!
Sorry to hear you feel that way. I appreciate that a Russian skater cares and considerate enough to commemorate one of the most tragic events in the country which is almost at war right now. I am happy and feel just sorry for you.
