2017 Four Continents Men SP

As much as I love the young ones, I hope I could see a wonderful FS from Yuzuru and Patrick two days later.

Han Yan's fist spin has received 0 points. Haven't watched his performance yet, was it an obvious error?

Someone gave Patrick Chan 8.75 in SS! No, wait two people!

PATRICK!

And then I saw the 9.00! That person gave 9.00 to Yuzuru too. I cannot. CANNOT

Too low GOEs on beautiful Nathan's flip and Boyang's toe though :dev2: Other than judge 1, Nathan's PCS look good for me. Yessss @ perfect Yuzu's 3A score. Nam bb though :sad21:

Let me try something here

Take Yuzu's score: 97.04
Minus the 2S+3T: 97.04 - 6.30 = 90.74
Add back the 4S+3T from GPF: 90.74 + 17.37 = 108.11 (WR 110.95)

Would beat Nathan Chen but no World Record.

i don't think you can think like that because a clean program would have gotten better PCS too

.....

He also lost a spin level. And maybe if he hadn't made the mistake he would've gotten higher PCS scores. I'm delusional, but I predicted earlier this year that Yuzuru would break his record this season. I still think it will happen at worlds.

Thanks, let me do a bit of adding for the spin.

Was this because they lacked steps going in and other features? I'm no scoring expert so I'm honestly curious.

nah this only proves that there's a good chance of breaking the WR. With a clean performance, the increase in PCS may prolly fill the gap.

But welp. doesn't matter

I actually thought Chen's 4F warranted lower GOE, the landing was really snowy.

It could be steps, but usually the only skaters pinned for that are little country skaters.
