I hardly ever look at scores. Yes somewhere in the back of my mind I know this is a competition, but why run up my blood pressure over judges impressions when I can just blissfully enjoy it as art

I admit that Dance isn't my favourite :.

I thought that there was, usually, like barely 2 points difference between the first few teams. But there, it's... the Canadian team can fall, what, three times in their FD and still win, with that kind of lead

I'm just surprised, but honestly I'll take everyone's word about it since I haven't watched yet. I blame work for daring to not give me today and tomorrow off ! XD

Well, quite a SD! Virtue and Moir blew it away as many (not me) predicted. Basically a three way tie for second with the Shibs and WeaPo bringing up the rear. IceNetwork pooped out so I didn't see the performances but the Shibs must have had some level issues. I'm still sticking with my predictions of V/M, P/C and Shibs. Obviously Shibs will have to have a tremendous skate and others not so great. For those who saw it, were Tessa and Scott so completely dominant? Is this a judges love-fest or is their superiority that evident?

They also wont medal from the second last flight. No way. That never happens in dance. If they scored just 0.05 more and got into the final flight over the Shibs they would have a real shot.

There is a chance. Point or 2 difference is nothing. But if it is a close call like it was in SD judges will give the medal to another nation (even all the Americans messed up their FD, C/L will have a chance, their FD had the best reception in the arena in Europeans)

Truly unacceptable. The US is the most competitive in ice dance and it's the only segment these technical difficulties shut down the service for which I pay a subscription! Argh! I've been waiting to see ice dance all week. Thank goodness for the Russian feed - and it was free! What a disappointment!

yes, they were, though Scott had problems with twizzles and they got the same points than the Shibs, who, as usual, did perfect twizzles.
