Different events, different scoring, of course, but N/K did better in the RD here than they did in Kaunas.

Good heavens. Avonley is such a star, but the more I watch them, the more my attention is drawn by Vadym too. He definitely is a good match for her. Wow!! Great job.

This FD is a sheer beauty - they flew on ice, to have such consciousness and control in movement being just 15 and 16 yo, to express this much, but not overperform. She is a jewel and he makes a perfect frame to it. Glad Igor got his mojo back, because this team is a revelation.

I love Avonley's name. It reminds me of L. M. Montgomery's books about Anne Shirley (Anne of Green Gables). There was one titled Anne of Avonlea

I agree, the first time I saw them I couldn't take my eyes off Avonley, but now I see Vadym is a very dramatic, musical skater as well. They are a very good match.

They are so musical and so well matched and so emotionally mature for juniors it's all a bit scary. Yes Igor smile smile smile. You have gold there.

That SHOULD win.

Score: 100.22 SB and totally totally deserved.
They win it. And off to the finals they go.

Wow. I mean this completely as a compliment to Avonley and Vadym and not one bit as an insult to anyone else, but those two have better chemistry and more presence on the ice than half the seniors at the Olympics. They skate like the rink is the only thing in the world and they're the only two people in it. Absolutely breathtaking.
