And talk during the performances!!!! But yes.....I totally agree! By far the hardest events for me to follow are the ones in my own country.I hate when any national competition happens because NBC gets it instead of Olympic channel or NBCSN and they shred it apart with a million commercials and skip tons of skaters
IIRC, is there some sort of rule that says the top 6 from U.S. Nationals last year automatically are placed in the final two groups? I seem to recall that rule existing....I have to look that up.
At the U.S. Figure Skating Championships only, the championship (senior) ladies, men’s and pairs short program and championship (senior) short dance events will be drawn in two subgroups:A.The skaters who receive automatic invitations (see rule 2515) will draw randomly from the first subgroup to skate within the last two warm-up groups;B.The remaining competitors will draw randomly from the second subgroup to skate in the remaining spots, including any spots remaining in the last two warm-up groups.
For all championship (senior) events, the following competitors will receive an automatic invitation to the same event; however, any such competitor or couple must enter to compete through the online registration process as described in rule 2401 and by the deadline of Sept. 1. Failure to do so will result in the competitor(s) not being entered nor allowed to compete at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships for the current season.A.A competitor or couple placing in the top five at last year’s U.S. Figure Skating Championships;B.A competitor or couple who won a medal at the most recent Olympic Winter Games;C.A competitor or couple who won a medal at the most recent World Championships
