2021 Skate America: Women's Free Skate

Oh Audrey! My fave American at this event. But no, that was rough.

Bad plan B planning here. I suppose she was going to do the 3 combo with the Flip, but didn't. Probably stressed her out to do it after the last 3Lo so she fell....

I can tune out the voice-overs, so I don't mind them. But that discordant measure in the music gives me a chalkboard-fingernail cringe.

Does the ice seem more slippery than usual to anyone else? I keep seeing uncharacteristic slips from skaters. Audrey just now, and last night it seemed like that's what caused Danny's 3T fall. And those weren't the only two I thought I saw.

I want to like Starr Andrews, but her skating leaves me cold. :(

Feel so bad for Audrey Shin. I liked the other skaters too, but obviously they do not have the technical oomph to medal here.

If Beethoven were alive today, he'd thank heaven for being deaf rather than hearing his beautiful music tainted with voiceovers.
Don't know wether to like this with a laugh or a cry. Ok, a neutral thumbs up it will be.

Beautiful spins from Audrey, and a quality step sequence, with a Level 4. To get up again and again after the falls and the pop and to still present the rest of the programme with elegance and composure is difficult, but she did it. Her FP dress is also lovely - I do like the way the blue shades from darker to pale.
