Why is Trusova wearing a bedazzled newspaper with blood stains? I am familiar with Cruella but do not recall that being part of the story.

It is in the new movie, she wears a dress with newspaper all over it.

There was an interview about Sasha's new dress it was in Russian but I think she said that the names of all her dogs are on it.

Sasha's old leather dress was so nice and powerful but this... Well, I see where it's coming from, but the idea doesn't translate that well on actual costume
