Frankly, I don't really find her very outstanding at all, especially amongst the other Russians, and I'm really failing to see how she was ahead of yelim in the short (not that it matters at this point but...just saying).

Ksenia has no quads and 3A in her programs and even if she did it's still not a jumping practice. Have you actually seen a jumping practice?

Good for Ksenia too. Some of her jump landings are looking kind of insecure but she stayed on her feet.

After Amber, You and Kaori Sinitsyna's skating seems a lot smaller less speed and power and smaller jumps.

Amazing debut for Kseniia. She has had better programs, but this one does the job quite well.

Kseniia is much stronger than she was at test skates - all those backloaded combinations executed cleanly! Also, her spin in both directions, my goodness, she is a talent. She still gives an impression of delicacy, but she wasn't overwhelmed by the music when it demanded fast, fierce skating. A fantastic senior debut, with two lovely clean skates.

Nice skating from Ksenia ... but so devoid of expression, in my opinion.

After the skating of (in my order) Young You, Amber Glenn, Kaori Sakamoto, and Satoko ... there seemed nothing, or very little substance to it.
