Hmmm. I am not aware of that, BUT I really wish that kind of change in the policy would happen lol.
I know I'll look stupid there, carrying extra bag full of flower crowns, but I just can't go empty-handed for some reason. I will just have to be creative and utilise contacts (if possible), because if Espoo has no gifts policy, I will just have to respect it :)
I follow Ekatrina on Instagram..
In this post she is wearing your crown..third & fourth pictures.. after the event ❤️

I love the skaters and coaches social media post about arriving in Finland. It looks it´s really magical in Espoo now with snow and cold  Lorenzo Magri just posted a story that the view from his hotel room is outside skating area with a lot of lights hanging around and a lot of people skating and enjoying themselves. It looks so cozy

It will be my first wintery competition in Finland, but last year I was in Oct for Finlandia Trophy and, well, fell in love with the view, the city and just the feel there :)

Just in case my internet goes down again, best wishes to all the skaters....go Team Japan!.

My net went down cause my microwave dish shoots through trees (that now are covered in snow) to a repeater a mile away...
My great internet provider tech team turned up the power on the repeater but can only do that for 5 days and will be out here on the First
to see if they can do something to help me get internet. The trees have grown up into my microwave path over the years....

Sorry, just realised I forgot to post about the Opening Ceremony earlier. I would have been in the kitchen at the time, setting the table for dinner.

First of all - BIG apologies for not posting as much photos et all from the competition as I'd like to. It was CRAZY time, totally unexpectedly for me.
Secondly - THANK YOU for the enthusiasm, praise, reactions. It makes a difference for me, it really does as I'm very self conscious person who doubts everything.
Thirdly - it was a privilege and amazing experience to meet and chat with fellow GSers: @TT_Fin , @Ruthypegs and @Lyyli . Your enthusiasm for crowns and the whole thing was an asset for me. It was really lovely to meet you.
And lastly - I had a blast. Felt alive for a while after feeling dread for quite some time now. Skating is a pesky, little thing that causes both heartbreak and elation at the same time for me. But most importantly, it often gives me motivation, confidence and assurance there is a place I feel good. Where I belong.
Opportunity to meet Piper, Paul and Coach Carol, making them and other skaters smile by those crowns means everything to me. It was a great reminder to really LIVE UP the moment you are in. To the fullest.
