Still say that these acrobatic things shouldn't be allowed in competition programmes. They look impressive when done well, but are so costly, and potentially dangerous, when they go wrong.

Better to keep them for the exhibition programmes.

Well done Laura & Kevin Fantastic to see an Irish Ice Dance team. I quite enjoyed the performance. They seemed quite happy afterwards. They got good levels on the twizzles.

I liked their ISU bio; Practice hours; ‘Where and when they can’ It can’t be easy based in Dublin. I see Kevin has done singles and short track.

They were both still doing Singles as recently as the 2019-20 Season. And this is only their second "proper" event, after being guest skaters at a few events before that. But, a Junior GP is something else.

Given how new they are to all this, I am so impressed with how they got on.

As you say, it is great to see Ireland represented in Ice Dance.

And the Irish interest in the competition isn't finished. The girl in the first partnership of Group 2 is half-Irish.
