I might be misremembering but I think Morisi was at Challenge Cup without coaches last season because there were domestic Russian events happening at the same time. If the Georgian delegation do choose to go to Worlds, I imagine Georgian federation members will be with them in the kiss and cry as we’ve seen before if the Russian coaches don’t make the trip. Even if they did they might want to stay out of the limelight. But only time will tell.

I wonder how difficult it would be though for an athlete/coach training in Russia to find a way to get to worlds (like Morisi since he's been mentioned). Would they want to submit themselves through this?
I don't think it would be hard. They could fly to UAE/India/China and catch a flight to France from there.

At first glance, it's interesting to see there's no MT/M or DM/G on the pairs list. DM/G are currently appearing in a show (I think Art on Ice?), not sure what MT/M's current plans are?

wow, the pairs field... The Chinese are probably worried about the travel and the virus? Otherwise I don't understand Peng/Jin's absence, barring injury.
I wonder if Kirsten and Michael have retired?
Nicole and Matteo didn't look in top shape at the OG, so their absence is not surprising to me. It's been a long season.
Miura/Kihara have a real chance to medal. Fingers crossed!
Pity we won't see the Russian pairs, but I hope they come back next season, with better programs in Boikova/Kozlovskii case (both programs), and Mishina/Galliamov case (FS). I guess I'm in the minority here, but the former was generic and uninspired to me, and the latter had a weird second half with thrown-in recycled Queen program elements. Just my impression.
And Zoe Jones is my hero ^ ^.

Pairs medalists will possibly be the Japanese and two American pairs :D If we even have Worlds this year :(

Glad to see Shaidorov on the list, but he's training in Sochi... I think he can only get there on foot, and he better start soon.

The singles disciplines are SO GOOD! Some of my small-fed faves made it... Nina, Tzu-Han, and Nikita finally got the nod! And it looks like Nathan will be attending as well. This should provide an interesting look at the next generation kof men with Ilia, Kao, Yuma, and Daniel all going. No Chinese skaters though, what a shame. But is it possible RikuRyu could become World Champions? (Pairs is clearly the event most suffering here, but it will still be fun)

That makes me really sad :( Like I would understand if Sui/Han resigned, but why Peng/Jin? And maybe a chance for other Chinese Pairs team?
Because there are no skaters from China at all. Probably COVID restrictions. They also skipped 4CC and had only one GP (except S/H)
