What happened to Levito? Amber looks crushed. The skating so far has been very good but not super. The top Japanese ladies really are missed and usually a more marquee Canadian (then again it has been awhile since Kaetlyn Osmond skated and before then Rochette.and Americans are missing too. Levito is missed but she doesn't have the cachet or charisma of a Kwan, Cohen or even Wagner or Gold in her prime.

It’s a little much to ask a first year senior to have “the cachet or charisma” of iconic Olympic skaters in their prime. Michelle didn’t look so amazing her first season either. And Sara-Maude Dupuis did pretty spectacular for her first international championship, actually.

Oh no Chaeyeon, I was about to say she looked way more relaxed in the beginning, even had a big smile to begin with.

Unusual mistakes on the flips, so weird to see her make mistakes after being so, so consistent this season.

It's a shame because the audience consistently loves a good choreo sequence. Everyone won't understand the many edges and cluster in a step sequence but they totally get a beautiful Ina Bauer or spiral.
