2023 Grand Prix Espoo Free Dance

I haven't watched a lot of dance lately - and I'm admittedly partial to Hawayek and Baker - but I"m not really getting this Canadian team. I also don't like it when they sing along. Am I just old and grumpy?

I got flashbacks of Davis/White skating to this music. I still miss them.

This is my favourite program this season, just mesmerising from Juulia and Matthias.

I felt the energy was up then again they are the home country team. Still when you consider what else there is out there they are at best in the second maybe third group in the world. And that is without PC and Russia. Probably CB, Italians, 2 or 3 Canadians, a French team maybe, Fear and Gibson. Top 5 might be tough and there is the possibility another American team would beat them.

just to contradict everyone : i love this FD for Lolo and Nik. Maybe being able to follow the lyrics in French helps. I am drawn into it. It will be a huge success in Montreal.

The program is better. The beginning is really good with the clock and time imagery... but then, time really stops... they don't cover a lot of ice.

I don't know how much of my love for this free dance is the music, the choreo or Madi's dress, but the straight line lift right on my favorite organ riff of all time takes my breath away. So good.
