by some sort of coicidence russians are having their nationals in a time zone close to the japanese one, usually we can watch Japan in the morning and Russia in the afternoon...should we find fresh blood for Lakernik so he pushes for holding nats in a time zone more confortable for us?

According to some rumours he may have an easy time finding it for himself.

It is cruel that Russia and Japan have their nats at the very same time practically every year. Who do I need to bribe to let them move it at least a day apart? Or even a couple of hours?

Problem is that in Russia it takes place in Omsk, which sets it couple of hours earlier than in some cities more on the west.

I think all Nationals should be i Europe. Here in Stockholm would be perfect...

Yep, I think @elektra blue has hit the nail on the head. It is more noticible this year because Russian Nationals are being held further east than usual.

But, the way the calendar falls this year could have allowed them to be more staggered. They are both normally held on Christmas week, with Japan starting before Russia. So, with Christmas being when it is this year, could they not have had it so that Japan was this week, and Russia next week?

They are not. Nationals are often in Krasnoyarsk (UTC+7).

Oh I thought they were just commenting on what they see in the replay, cause they usually say "maybe UR here" or "this ones close". I didnt know they were giving us the actual protocols.
