The dress is very lovely, I am obsessed with how the skirt moves. I am not a fan of the Egyptian Arms or the program. UR-wise, she looked pretty clean, but I definitely prefer the SP in terms of performance.

ok... i was out last night... and didn't sleep much... but i find many of these programs to be bland and putting me to sleep

That was very solid (save for a couple of questionable jump landings) - Great job, Elyce! However, I found the program dull, and I just cannot deal with the "Walk Like An Egyptian" arms. She had a blank face throughout too. I found the dress strange, as though it was two dresses put together - nice bodice and nice skirt, but they didn't go together.

The dress is nice but not beautiful imo, there is a lot of bling and the color is nice but it's nothing special. Her skating feels similar to her dress, steady jumps and elements but I will not remember her program nor her style. Send me to Alpha Centauri but I am so far not in love with any US woman I've seen at this point

That's why I want the international judges to be strict with them. It only helps them in the long run.

Indeed, but the calling in the SP was quite harsh/fair for all except for our leader. She's a great skater but, as you said, the tech calling needs to be true for all skaters.

That was another skater whose skating is nice but who makes me feel nothing. I can appreciate both Mone and Lin-Gracey's spins. Both have amazing speed and positions.

It is nice, but not memorable for me. I agree about the dress, but the dark navy looks fabulous.

I totally agree with Elyce's victory - she was by far the cleanest woman across the two programs - but I don't know if I would have had her winning PCS over Isabeau Levito and Mone Chiba, especially with that free program. In the short, maybe, as she was really performing then and she does have great skating skills, but imo both Isabeau and Mone had stronger programs and performance in the free. But judges gonna judge, hopefully they can settle down a bit by the time the GP comes around and reward the skaters for the programs and specific PCS marks that they excel in.
