Elisova did really well those triple axels looked completely rotated, there are a lot of things to work on of course it was impressive to land two triple axels.

Kulikova made it hard for herself, the sub 60 PCS is kind of rough though (Elisova was even lower).

Nice debut for Lyashenko, she might as well win all the medals she can now because I think she will be another one who will struggles with her jumps once she grows a little bit. I enjoyed her programs.

Nice recovery from Alisa someone wrote that she was having trouble adjusting to the ice (harder than usual or something), and everything was a little off, landings were a little wonky, a little off balance on her jumps, but got the job done landing two quads in the process. And she looked very relaxed about all of it. It's a good sign when in a debut GP event, when isn't comfortable with conditions she puts up a decent score with little trouble (should higher second score it feels like they are trying to protect Petrosian's aura). Nice to see a Russian senior attempting three quads again.

It was softer than usual. Many skaters complained about the ice. They say it caved under pressure easily and could not hold their weight properly.

Alisa hasn't landed her 4Lz in a while. She says she might forget about it completely. Her 4T is constantly under-rotated. I have trouble calling this the best skater in the world. I'm hoping Bazyluk or Sadkova impress in Kazan and at least give us a clear tentative leader. This ladies' season is barely grasping on by its nails. Kazan is the final guardian for me at this point. Otherwise we can only pray for a miracle nationals of late peaks.

Watched SPs for a bit, to Mozalev. Funny, he seemed to skate with more assurance, but with two falls. (Sigh). To be fair, other men weren't much better, though I haven't seen Fedorov and Ugozhaev yet.

Mozalev wasn't that bad in the free, yay! It's a bummer he missed podium.
I liked free dances from Zhdanova/BS (nostalgic bonus!), Kaganovskaya/Nekrasov this time and actually S/B too.
In women, Elisova, Lyashenko and Kulikova really delivered!
I still have pairs to watch, lol. For now I am trying to stay abreast with Kazan'
