2025-26 Russian Grand Prix - Stage 5 - Omsk

Cannot inspire confidence with the problems on the loop and lutz, it seems all the focus went into the 4T, plus she didn't have to skate a short program, and it is out of competition so it's really a glorified training run.

Progress. She's an introverted skater (which is just who she is) and she needs to shut out everything but the music and the ice. Extroverted skaters skate to the crowd Channel your inner Scherbakova and nail the program when you need to!

Okay, she landed the quads, but a lot of these landings looked like they hurt :( Plus the 3Lz fall :(

As "just" a fan, a spectator, most saddening for me is that it feels like she was just going through the motions for the most part, but not really fully performing this program anymore - This was such a bright, expressive program for her in its debut season and I hope to see it again in that form.

Gorgeous jacket for Medvedeva. Lose the Christmas ornaments around the neck.

The list is done thinking that Akatieva has a bye.

Mazur has higher scores than Pulina and Zubkova but less luck with the stages.

Mura and her perpetual 4th place finishes 😭 hopefully she'll finally go clean at nats
It seems to be that it's starting to become a real struggle for Alisa with these ultra-c jumps as she goes through puberty (ofc, before last season, she was never known for her consistency anyway). And while she may have been one of the best in terms of artistry in the juniors, among the seniors, she doesn't stand out as anything special
Daria seems to perform cleanly once a season, so I guess she used it up here. Good for her, though. It's nice to see her with programs that actually suit and which she seems to enjoy
Good on Alina for landing the quad, but she used up all her energy to do so. I don't have any faith in it being sustainable, but regardless, she has really improved a lot these past two seasons
Adeliia finally landed the 4T, but neither were rotated, and the performance didn't exactly inspire confidence...I guess we'll see how she does at nats

Those 2 quads were definitely landed quarter but will obviously be downgraded in real competition.

After landing the quads she clearly checked out already.

Im loving this new angry Adelia. She is definitely not going down without a fight.

An improvement from her last two outings but still so much polishing to do to be a convincing potential olympic medalist.

She still got less than 3 months to get it together.

I'm not certain she was going for Wilma Flintstone when she chose that outfit, but if so, she nailed it. :laugh3:

Well, there were the falls on the triples and a massive drop on her TES at the end, so probably there were some under-rotations on the quads :frown:

But still, this is a step forward for her! It's clear she focused everything on the quads and so the performance (and even the triples) suffered but she needs to get that quad stable, and once she gets confident with it the performance will come back naturally to her

She is progressing, maybe not as quickly as could be hoped but she is fighting out there. Strength and good luck to Adelia! :ghug:

It is difficult to watch Akatieva, when she is going into a jump, you can see the hesistation and pain on her face. I wish they would name her to reserves, and allow her to fully heal, IF that is possible, and I'm not sure it is.

She is bored of it. Like everyone else.

She was never a power jumper, but now the jumps are barely clearing the ice and rotation is short on many of them. But who could have predicted that last year? Same with the men, now it seems to me they should have chosen Vlad, as his PCS has improved to Olympic levels.
