2025-26 Russian Grand Prix - Stage 5 - Omsk

I also hate theoretical scoring and pinning medals before competitons. I can't predict top 5 correctly in any competiton this season, and you want to predict scores.... good Lord.
Everyone knows predictions are hard and often fail. But why do some enter the discussion in the first place with their analysis before the tournament ends then afterwards just say "well I don't care anyways and nobody can predict anything anyways and these analyses are pointless anyways"?

If you are talking about me, I am not trying to discuss. I always want to stick to results on the day of. Prediction contests are one thing that taught me that scores are not a reliable predictor of placement or a score in each competition, even without the increasing discrepancies between tech panels and judging panels. I literally don't know what to expect any more. I mean, aside from Mrazkova's skirt to cause a problem. That one I was good at, unfortunately. Plus, i can't see Russians live, and next to the internationals.

I loved the quad throw but I dunno if quad twist looks actually epic. I feel it needs to be insanely high to be impressive. Otherwise that extra rotation just ends in a sort of squashed exit?

Fun fact: I realize that all disciplines in this stage featured at least 1 national team member performing in the first warm-group for long program.

P/Ch, Sh/P, Akateva and Lutfullin.

Russian pairs are always my happy place. Sometimes it's happier than others, but there's always something to smile about.

I'm surprised this flip earns only 0.74. It's impressive how he simply lifted her up. It was a great throw.
