The combo was gorgeous, super easy, big and smooth. The 2A landing almost looked like she just caught a little rut in the ice or put a little too much power into the jump, the Flip was okay but I think it was q.
Still, a good skate overall, the Free will be the deciding factor again.

The flip got a q call actually. Though Anna didn't really agree with that. The StSq was rewatched to level 3 too.

Gorbacheva is impressing me more than anyone else this season so far.

Yeah she has really come on this year, she always seemed quite fragile, but she has grown into a stable skater.

I started watching internationals more and the Japanese programs are the best by far. Russia struggles with music choices severely.

BTW, you mentioned in Kazan that you feared Benoit would set Muravieva a turtle-neck dress. Funny thing: in one of Zagitova's vlogs, Zagitova asked Muravieva if there are any sort of skating dresses she hates, and of course she specifically named the turtle-necks.

This time, many strong ones are here - I think many will try ultra-c tomorrow. But she has quality skat, at least if she can do all of her 7 jumps correctly with good GOE, she can catch-up.

Judges were stingy overall today.

The Russian judging this season is the strictest I have ever seen in any federation. Almost nobody gets StSq4. Only a handful of athletes across all singles events for the last 6 stages earned level 4.

Not really, unfortunately. Without two stable triples in the Short, she wouldn't do well internationally either.
A 3Lz+2T and 3F in the Short wouldn't be the worst thing, but that content isn't really competitive either (especially with the new Seniors next season).
