2025-26 Russian Junior Grand Prix - Stage 4 - Kazan

I think i am more invested in Russian juniors than anyone else atm, because i find it hard to care for anything in Olympics under the current rules, and just sit here waiting for things to return to normal.

For me this season is: either Adeliia wins OGM or not. If she does then IDC what else happened. If she doesn't I also don't care what else happened.

Maybe Muravieva can lighten things up until then.

The russian girls I'm rooting for are Adeliia and Sadkova and Akateva in seniors... I need to focus on Olys haha

I really like that there are more fast, powerful, athletc women coming into Russian skating. Gerasimova represents them here.

Wow, you are right, ouch on Basylyuk. Too early to collapse the talent even for Tutberidze, so probably would manage to come back in the free.

I didn't realize the girls were today instead of Friday (my time) like usual. Kinda surprised by Margo, since she did well in her 1st event. Hopefully Sonya and Maya can go clean in the free and redeem themselves from their first events.

btw, I'm surprised Vadim hasn't competed yet :scratch2: was/is he injured, or this maybe moreso a result of the coaching change and we can expect him at the last two stages?

Yeah, i was particularly impressed by Haliullin. He must really loved skating at home! Hopefully the last group will have a good skate tomorrow.

Huh. Definitely good stake by Margo. Those two pops would not mean much, but today it will probably cost her a medal.
As long as she makes top 6 overall for 1TV cup, I'm happy. I think her gold from last stage should be enough. I hope she finishes at least top 4 here. 185 can make it.

IMO they should provide her with sport psychologist. She is physically OK, but needs confidence.
It's hard to say. Last stage she said that even in training she often misses combo. She isn't in her best form right now, even physically. Yes, clearly the mental factor is big here, though. She is much more sensitive than she pretends to be.

She has her spot for junior nationals and cup final secured. But really something has to be done with her confidence to avoid mistakes like today.

But good thing is that today despite mistakes she did not crumble at all.

No quads for prineva. I can’t remember if she suffered from any injuries this summer ? Without ultra cs it will be difficult for her to get a medal
