Of course, this text has been written and rehearsed... but Patrick talks about flight or fight... and says, it's still there.. it's natural... that is good.. he is indeed working with a sports psychologist to be mentioning these things. I have been very demanding of him lately because I can feel he is so close to get there... and deeply, all i want for him is to experience competing at the highest level with the feeling of controlling "the zone"
He has shown us he can get there... everyone can... but to get it "on command" requires a lot of mental preparation which he seems to be doing.... all I wish for him is that he can repeatedly and steadily get there, and enjoy competing....it changes everything for a performer... i disliked performing until a few years ago.. when i understood the power of the mental game... and found ways to always be in the zone, i found a new love for my art... and i reached much higher levels too... that's why i am always hoping for Patrick to get further ahead in the process of discovery.
Patrick is so beautiful to watch when he is performing one element after another, caring about their quality and the presentation... he is a very musical skater... and emotional athlete... all of these attribute make him the gorgeous skater and human being he is... keep preparing... keep working.... keep loving what you do...

I will most likely not go to a party tomorrow as I am burned out from the week (nothing to do with skating LOL but just too much work)... which means that I will sit down on my couch all day, watching skating.... so I will be here my friends, sharing my love for our chiddy.... sharing my support to the anxious ones... YES .. I know...i appear as the anxious one because I often feel that Patrick is thinking and talking too much before events.. but the day of a competition.... i am super zen
as there is nothing left to do for a performer than just go on with the day, warm up and perform... the rest? whatever will happen will happen ... and i will be always having your back Patrick Chan!!!! and same with you Patrick fans
