I have and have been following Boyangs and unfortunately, he hasnt to the level that he desire close or similar PCS compared to Shoma, Mikhail, Nathan, Hanyu, Dimtri, etc. The ISU judges have been scoring him fairly. But I really hope he works on his PCS and put solid programs this coming new season.
We are all making claims that is subjective. And everyone is entitled to them as this sport is judged subjectively.
We can agree to disagree in the end.
Urgent Proposal No. 5
NETHERLANDS
Rule 108, para. 3a)
Revise to read as follows:
3. Age limits for Single & Pair Skating / Ice Dance
a) In International Senior Competitions, ISU Senior Championships and the Olympic Winter Games only Skaters may
compete who have reached at least the age of seventeen (17) before July 1st preceding the Events, effective
season 2020-2021.
Reason: • At Senior Championships and OWG, we need to show mature skaters with well-balanced programs.
• This will improve the image of our sport: media and audience would like to see “idols” who compete for a
longer period of time
• Younger skaters are able to show more difficult elements until they are fully matured. Therefore we are
currently losing Seniors skaters who are afraid they cannot compete with these younger skaters in Senior Events.
• We have currently the youngest Senior age requirement by far of all Winter sports
• We would bring Senior age requirement in line with a sport that is comparable to ours, namely Gymnastics,
where Seniors have to be 16 (ladies) resp. 18 (men). We propose to take 17 for both ladies and men as currently we
have no age distinction on the Junior and Novice level.

It's official reason? Seriously? Well, they are still remember that fs is a sport, not ice show - are they?
Out of all the possible reasons jfc
June is going to be fun. Can't wait.
interesting tidbitit can be discussed and voted upon at Congress, provided the proposal
has reached the ISU Secretariat in English for distribution to all Members, not later than three weeks before the
Congress and shall be certified as urgent business by a four-fifths majority of Members present and voting.
The reasons will get laughed out... I don't think this will pass. I doubted the bigfeds would let it pass anyway, but now.
The reasons are silly, but this is pretty blatantly aimed at Eteri’s junior quad jumpers. Russia will obviously oppose it; I’m not sure the other big federations will, since they arguably benefit from it.The reasons will get laughed out... I don't think this will pass. So? Canada has other junior men who could potentially make a run at it, and raising the age limit for women would make Canada’s existing female stars more potentially competitive next time. Japan, likewise, has plenty of good female options already; they aren’t waiting on some junior to save them. The US, arguably, is at the moment, but they might regard it as better for them in the long-term regardless.Gogolev won't make it to 2022; Alysia Liu won't make it to 2022. Goodness knows how many Japanese juniors won't make it.
Here's the thing though.
Have we all forgotten Elizaveta Tuktamysheva? The beautiful, strong, curvy young woman who won just about everything and landed a triple Axel at Worlds...at eighteen? And very definitely after puberty? According to all the people wailing about age limits, this shouldn't have been possible. But it was. Why?
TECHNIQUE.
Good base technique. It's the foundation of everything. You want longevity? Great, teach good technique. You want women to still be able to jump? Great, teach good technique.
I was looking forward to your snark on the "afraid" part. Is it coming?
Reading the urgent matters proposed I notice
ISU Council proposing to ban Federation Presidents to act as Judge, Referee, Technical Controller, Technical Specialist, Data and Replay Operators at Worlds/Olympics/Euros/4CCs/GP Final
Single and Pairs Technical Committee proposing to increase to 20 the Pairs making the FS at Worlds
