Russian Local Events

Super exciting programme from Vadim. I've noticed him last season for the first time. Defo a one-to-watch kid!

Next up advanced Novices/Juniors with Efremenko, Ershov and Lelekov (who was a bit unfortunate yesterday).

Well Melkumova just skated great in terms of jumps but sheesh, that program's completely empty and she even stopped doing my favorite choctaws. I guess it's correct to focus on jumps and she indeed just returned after a long hiatus but haah, it's a shame

Krivonosova class above. That 2A in the second element and 3Lz as the 7th particularly impressive. Easily gets some air under her and that's the most important thing for the future. I'm expecting a 3A.

Krivonosova random fall at the end but 179.87 points, really strong skate overall. And it's actually a very high score for the sports 1 category even though she was doing +2T and +1Lo+2S combos. Akatieva didn't reach that until her 4th competition in the category when she was 9 months older.

Strong confident skater with easy jumps. AND she got the min. tech score for Worlds. (Isn't she 10? lol). Some of the little girls though, you can tell WILL be strong jumpers in the future, they just haven't mastered checking out of the jumps yet. But they will.

I'm confused, I saw swear I saw Liza O warming up, but I can't find her on the results page 🤔

It IS Liza O.

This version of Carmen should be banned, it's terrible.

On the upside The Box for this comp is amazingly detailed and I appreciate it immensely.

Here's Liza O! Talk about a quick turn around in competitions.

This program is fabulous though! 🥰

Boys are starting now. Not sure whether these are the advanced Novices for this comp or whether the three groups are divided by age. Looking forward to Ershov and Tolchinsky. Some names are not familiar to me.
Hey, it's starting promising on the music.

Klementin did well, a right little performer already. Loved him ever since his appearance in Ige Age Kids. Sadly, it wasn't Egor's day.

Next group of boys on the ice with Vadim Voronov in the second flight. Saw his FS last week, which I thought was really worth watching. His little bro already won the comp in his category. (y)

I’m curious to my Russian friends , how is they system broke down, as I see these local competitiontheyre are a lot of competitions, if ya not on the national team how is one able to afford this sport , they’re so many hidden gem and I’m wondering how are ALL these kids able to afford it? From skates to costume I’m so curious to see a budget for a 15th place advance novice lady?? Anyone else curious?
