If 6.0 ordinals were in place then P/C would be World Champions again.
A reason to love COP — both programs matter.

As I've been predicting for months, huge push for B/S that will only go bigger next season. It's impossible for Russia not to have an ice dance team in the medal conversation at the Olympics.
Ok, I wish they would bring back the Hitchcock program next year, because with Paul's massive ankle injury they never really got to skate it when they were healthy and fully trained with it. And it's simply one of the most brilliant FDs I've ever seen.
Posture I think only counts in Performance mark now. But I agree it should count on skating skills and transitions as well. Bobrova and Stepanova use this posture for getting speed. It should effect skating skills score since they don't use edges, knees but bending body. I also find even crossovers in that positioons very ugly. It become even more ugly in holds. Transitions score should reflect that. But especially skating skills.
I resurfaced just to say I love this idea. I am no huge G/P fan but I loved, loved, loved that program. So different yet engaging, I was hypnotized by it (no joke) and it was never skated to its potential. Would love to see it back.
I feel bad for W/P but unfortunately when you enter the ice dance discipline you know that your talent isn't all you are being marked on. It's been that way forever.
Basically it sucks to be W/P right now. Caught in the middle.
I loved that program too! It echoed a great free program of Tracy Wilson & Rob McCall from 1984 Olympics. I always wondered why more couples didn't go this route as both programs are mesmerizing.
1. There's no proof whatsoever that Weaver / Poje are couple off the ice
I have felt the same. I've been anticipating the slow climb of scores for B & S ever since the doping thing ended. I remember the rise in scores for the Russian ladies Pre-Sochi that didn't seem to match their performances.
May I disagree with this? Tessa and Scott were absolutely mesmerising even with the freak accident.THIS COMPETITION WAS #FAKENEWS.
Hot mess of the season.
In a spirit of generosity, why not now give other world-class skaters a chance, not to mention their teammates, Weaver and Poje? I know it's tough to have poured all your love and effort into a sport and then be at the peak in your twenties and then have to figure out how to move on. It would have been gallant, in addition to being probably a harder path.
Now, I believe Sandra Bezic when she said that Tessa and Scott have come back because they want to be better artists, and that competition is the way they're able to push themselves. At least I definitely believe it about Tessa. I can't quite shake the suspicion that Scott wants to prove once and for all that he can win more than Charlie White. Well, he's proved it now. V/M are three-time world champs. ***
I've never thought there was much fairness in an Olympic gold medalist returning so they can win another gold medal.
Madison Chock is fierce as ever.
I still can't get into this team though.
