There is any rule that prevent someone for doing both (JGP and GP)? He has the age ... so basically he has to get points to go GP and get minimus? He couldn't get this in the challengers?

Technically, he still could (there's no rule against it), but unless Petr and Andrei both bomb in their GP events and Mark does incredibly well, I think Russia would give the spot to a senior with only one assignment instead of a junior.

Yes. Yes there is.
As has been mentioned above, Kondratyuk doesn't actually qualify for anything more than a host pick for senior GP, and with Rostelecom being a late event in the series doing well enough there to justify an invite at a later even like Ignatov in 2019 isn't going to be an option. Honestly, the only way he would have had a shot at that host pick is if Mozalev and Gummenik both bomb hard enough at their first even that qualifying for the final is a mathematical impossibility, and while Gummenik is just inconsistent enough to make that possible Mozalev has just come off of what may have been one of if not his worst season, while skating injured, where his lowest placement was... 4th. Yeah, I'll be surprised if Mozalev bombs that badly.
Kondratyuk's coaching team have actually made a pretty smart move here, IMO. I doubt this is the only place on the internet where the common consensus is that Kondratyuk is "too good" for the JGP and I'd also be willing to bet money that at least one ISU judge reads these forums - the judges are FANS first and foremost, that how they get involved in the sport, and I'm not kidding when I say forums like this and social media play a big part in the politicking process. It'll help put the judges in the mindset of looking for reasons to give him points instead of looking for reasons to take them away. Realistically speaking, even if Kondratyuk made the Olympic team this year, he wouldn't even be looking at a top 10 finish, so his focus needs to be on 2026, and using this season to build momentum and get some experience when a lot of other juniors have already moved up ready to make the shift to seniors a post-olympic year after a host of retirement and a fresh field is his best shot for a place at Milan–Cortina.

Oh, boy, the list for Russians for subs is pretty long! I guess that takes Kondartyuk from contention for that 1 TBA on seniors? Also, happy to see Kovalev in JGP. Kondratyuk and Rukhin sure are going to put pressure on the younger cohorts.

That's not true. There is in fact a rule that one can't do JGP and GP both in the same season.

I'm getting kind of worried here. This article stated that Junior test skates will be held in closed mode like last year, which I took to mean no live audience. However, test skates are supposed to start on 2nd August and there is still no broadcast announcement. I scoured the 1tv website and youtube page - nothing.
