the GOAT tour was really cool! i've never been to a gymnastics show before and it was a lot of fun and unique. not to mention amazing to see so many stars in person! Simone is so tiny and cute. Chellsie Memmel is a rockstar. Laurie Hernandez is the most adorable human. the message behind the show was also so empowering and positive for young girls, athlete or not. loved it.

The last gymnastics show I went to was in 96 so it’s been awhile.

I agree it was a great show. St Louis, for whatever reason, brings a lot of high level gymnastics to this area. I’ve been fortunate enough to go to 2 SEC championships, two NCAA championships, one women’s National championships, two men’s Olympic trials and one women’s Olympic trials. I think that’s been in the past 5 years.

I’ve seen most of these ladies before but never Chelsie, so that was exciting.

I even stood in a line to buy a stuffed goat for $38.75 American dollars. Got out of the line and it occurred to me I should have gotten one for Gracie but couldn’t afford it right then🥲

I have tons of pics if I could figure out how to post them.

And a BiG congrats to Stephen. I was rooting for him at trials but he had an off day. Now he’s a World Champion! I love my bespectacled athletes!

Just watched it. He had spoiled me on Twitter. Oh my goodness he is adorable! Hope he sticks around for Paris!

For anyone who could not travel to see it, you’ll be glad to know the GOAT tour will happen one more time. In December for streaming.

Also, NCAAs are going to be LIT this year

any news on whether Simone is going back to competitive gymnastics? would be exciting to see her get the yurchenko double pike named after her officially.

i'd love to see her be an event specialist, but i think even if she is considering that she will take at least a year off. she needs it. but she has looked to be physically still in shape since touring and doing promos.

although I wouldn't mind if she does a triple-double dismount or another crazy innovative skill on bars too.

I think she may. But currently still concentrating on her mental health.

Y’all! NCAAs are so amazing this year. Saw Suni Lee on floor and beam last night for Auburn and just saw Grace McCallum on vault for Utah. I’m so glad they have control over their NIL so they don’t have to decide between going pro and going to college. It’s so interesting watching them navigate the transition from elite to college.

Oh no not again.

that is so sad...at this point i have almost no faith the culture will change. abuse is happening in too many gyms all over the world and the behavior is normalized. the fear and obedience drilled into gymnasts is too normalized. i hope somehow, some way one of the Nassar victims gets into USAG. someone like Aly Raisman...that is the only way things will change, but unfortunately USAG will do anything in its power to not let them into the organization. they'd be even more exposed than they already have been.

I really want to know what happened with Dana Duckworth. They had just renewed her through 2025 and she had a monster recruiting class. Which I hope we don’t lose.
