2024 Canadian Nationals Senior Women LP

Uliana!! She is so solid with her jumps!!
I have a feeling she will be close to Hetty here…. The PCS score will be low. Can she go to JWC? She has the TES to be competitive internationally.

I noticed the lack of speed here, but still think she should go to a senior B. Please Skate Canada, you need an alternate for Maddie!

i think Fée Ann wuzrobbed ;)
Why do you think that? The jumps are fantastic and really impressive in terms of height and flow. But her components are not particularly strong. She doesn't really get particularly deep into her knees, and there's a lot of simple / 2 ft skating. I also think that it was a bit of a checklist program, without a lot of expression. She has a very dramatic appearance/look, but she didn't really actually put a whole lot of passion into the performance. That said, I love her basics, and I think that with a little bit of work on projection from someone like osmond, she could be fantastic. Definitely has a ton of potential and kind of came out of nowhere for me this year. Tons of potential. Basically if you gave her the packaging of kaya, she would be be dynamic.

😭😭😭 Audreanne!!! It was going so well!! The last two popped jumps might have given SC enough to continue not sending her to international events 😭😭😭
I love her big jumps!! I’m so sad 😞

:) I don't disagree with anything you say ;) I am just biased towards big jumpers and we haven't had such an exciting jumper since well... you name her... Kaetlyn :)

I know, she is so impressive with her jumps, although they do tend to be kind of a Russian style, which is based more on muscling and upper body, rather than actual flow and technique. That's part of the reason her skating skills are so far below her jumping skills. She basically learned how to do the jumps by muscling them through, rather than building and springing them based on solid foundations. So at first you think her programs are great because she can rotate and land. But the skating between them never really had to develop, so it's shockingly below par.

And it's not just her speed. Look at the edges. They're extremely shallow, and she basically Skates on the flat almost the entire time. She reminds me very much of Bonaly in that sense, who everybody used to complain and say the judging was unfair and prejudiced and whatnot, when in reality, the woman could rotate (for the most part), but her skating skills were shockingly absent. Both she, and Yuliana, need to learn how to maintain an edge and skate into the ice.

Looked like stamina was a bit of an issue here. Better than anything she's done this season. Seems to be a second half of the season skater.
