I think she'll be 5th now. My women's picks are looking good.I consider any fall from medal contenders a bomb. Depends what you mean by a mistake from Anna. A normal minus and shes still ahead thanks to SP. If she falls of course its finished but then we need Gorbacheva and Sadkova to fall. In fact I think if either of them fall one quad but land another they can still beat her. If Akateva medals it wont be good news for the next warmup group. Yametova already kind of dropped the ball.
It was actually obvious that quad is not on the table after what Eteri said to her right after SP. That with that combo mistake she's not in competition for medals anymore. At recent open test skates of Eteri's team she did clean 4T in the runthru of this program. But today she did not try 4T during warm-up so it was obviously planned to go the safe way.
There's no favouritism if anything Yametova get overscored for PCS the same as Sofia. It seems like an Eteri skater has triggered everyone yet againNow Sofia AKATEVA has serious chance to get on the podium for today i think, hmm, not againt her but i simply dont like favorism at all.

We need a serious mistake from Anna which is uncharacteristic. A small minus wont do it. If Mura does a 2A SEQ she also should win clean with the SP advantage, her PCS is always massive even if shes subpar. You forgot Alina thats another quadster. We need both Alina and Sadkova to make at least one mistake on top of falling a single quad (if they land one also). We will need at least 2 of the next skaters to make a serious mistake, not including Yametova who already cut short of her standard.Eh, the scores were not that far apart after the Short. Sofia was like less than 4 points behind Anna (currently in 3rd) and apart from Dasha, none of the skaters ahead of Sofia but off the podium have Ultra-Cs at their disposal right now, so their Free Skate scoring potential is at most somewhere similar to Sofia's FS score.
I'm worried for her. She looks nervous and she fell during her runthrough. We need a serious mistake from Anna which is uncharacteristic.
Yup. And Yametova can land a 3A-not consistent. Maria A. is could easily do a 4loop and she needs it to move up in the rankings. (Her 3loop is huge and tight). Sofia A needs to get either her 3A or 4T back, and I think she will next year. She is already looking much stronger than earlier in the year. She probably needs so somehow get an ultra-c to climb up.
She is in returning season, I hope she will continue to get back to top levels. Even with just one 4T she would be always a medal contender. Also her entries to 2A show she should have capacity for 3A. I think that at GP finals she might try to risk more.It was actually obvious that quad is not on the table after what Eteri said to her right after SP. That with that combo mistake she's not in competition for medals anymore.
Not sure her performance was better than VazhnovaYametova was not better than Akatieva today for sure.
I would be very surprised if Anna wins a medal. She has less than 2 points advantage over Muravieva, Sadkova, Gushchina, and it's unlikely she beats all of them.I'm worried for her. She looks nervous and she fell during her runthrough.
Yes, she looked totally shaken yesterday. I wouldnt be surprised if she has a rough landing but it wont be enough to put her below Akateva. I still dont see a big mistake coming from her. Especially considering judges are nice to her now its all hers to lose. Plus we then need Gorba and Sadkova to bomb. Mura is close but we may even need a small mistake from her. Yes we maybe expect that but its still another factor.I'm worried for her. She looks nervous and she fell during her runthrough.
Yes, she is definitely still capable to compete for top-3 in Russia, just not this season. We know for sure that she lands 4T, it's just her overall stamina is not enough to skate a clean FP after that. So, hopefully she won't get injured anymore and by the next season she'll definitely return with at least quad or two, maybe even 3A for SP.She is in returning season, I hope she will continue to get back to top levels. Even with just one 4T she would be always a medal contender. Also her entries to 2A show she should have capacity for 3A. I think that at GP finals she might try to risk more.
For me this is the most likely scenario. I've put her on the third place in the prediction contest.I would be very surprised if Anna wins a medal. She has less than 2 points advantage over Muravieva, Sadkova, Gushchina, and it's unlikely she beats all of them.
Yes 79 in TES is very high without any quads and 3A's.I see that Sofia A. got 79 TES and 71 PCS. The PCS isn't shocking. Maybe just a couple of points too high because that program isn't giving. It's the TES that surprises me. I was seeing a a score around 75 with no calls.
