There are many recently retired skaters at these nationals: Kirill Aleshin, Yulia Lipnitskaya, Liza Tuktamysheva.

Shcher/Petrov have some really nice qualities. The first throw was excellent, the 2nd way too short and that's a painful way to fall The lifts are great. She gets nice positions in the air. Not the skate they wanted today, but they are a good team.

I already called this music out as blasphemous yesterday, so I don't need to today again.

As for Taisia Shcherbinina & Artem Petrov (PRM)'s costumes, I loved Artem's white shirt, balck tie, black sparkly waistcoat, and black trousers. But, I wasn't fussed on Taisia's red dress.

Not a perfect skate for them either.

They look very disappointed.

They go into 3rd position in the FS, and the lead overall.

Two-foot your landing but lift your non landing foot really fast and hope the judges didn't notice. I admire that. It didn't work, but I appreciate the effort.

So far only little B/K and Kh/B did close to their best.

Mukhortova/Evgeniev avoided really big mistake but made numerous smaller ones. That lift was dangerous, fortunately he did not drop her.

Anastasia Mukhortova & Dmitry Evgenyev (MOS). Nastya is wearing a dress in a couple of different shades of blue, and a bit of white. Dima is wearing a top in the same shades of blue, with black trousers.

I think I would prefer the costumes if there wasn't that bit of white there.

The music was intense.

Bonsai Tarasova didn't look very happy at the end of the programme.
