2025-26 Russian Nationals Women's Free Skate

You know it's bad when you have to invoke a skate with a fall as your highlight.

Eyo, my personal highlight were Mura's and Kamilla's Frees, but there were good skates after that too including Masha's

Things just started really falling apart after Masha's skate and I hate Cats, so it felt like an appropriate cut-off point.

Well, that's why I said you shouldn't put a medal around anyone's neck ahead of time...Adeliia's problems with nerves are still very much there. Honestly, I think Alisa is a worse skater than her, but she was absolutely robbed here (and Adeliia herself won't take any joy or pride out of this victory). Especially unfortunate for her given skaters like Pleskacheva and Dzepka will be senior next season

Masha was incredible, landed two quads no-one else did this, and was not on anyone's radar 12 months ago.

Kamilla was completely robbed she would have been 5th with adequate judging, and this would set up her career she could build on this next year where she can perfect the quad.

I can't believe that my Maria took the bronze! She was my favourite junior a few years ago. Then she just disappeared and I never thought I would see her skate again.

Then she shows up here and just grabs a medal!!

Who had Maria Zakharova winning a medal in the toughest championships on Earth at the start of the year. She achieved that with being held back on everything GOE, PCS. Incredible!

Well, the best part of this competition was Maria winning the bronze. Very proud of her! Sucks for Frolova, though

Muravieva is working to reinstate 3A in both SP and FP, butdid not have enough time for this comp. Nelyubova is working on quad

Adelia's only restored the triple axel for a week. There's the jumping championship coming up in 3-4 weeks which will give her good practice.

In a way, this takes all the pressure off her, people give up on her, no expectations now.
