2025-26 Russian Nationals Women's Free Skate

Adelia's only restored the triple axel for a week. There's the jumping championship coming up in 3-4 weeks which will give her good practice.

In a way, this takes all the pressure off her, people give up on her, no expectations now.
I mean statistically speaking surely all of these failures make her more likely to at least get lucky in Milan.

Muravieva said something like this in intermission. She said she wants to bring back the 3A I can't remember if she said she is expecting to return it anytime soon though specifically I wasn't paying attention.
Yes, it's the logical next step for her. She used to have a good 3A, and now when she's with Mishin and Liza (the 3A queen!) she's in good hands.

Kamilla used to do 4Lzs in her junior days, so it's only logical for her as well that she is working on quads.

I don't think that helps Adelia to have boosted scores overmarked in the FS.
She knows that this is not the truth and that she would not get such high score with a similar program with errors at the Olympic Games.
Poor girl, I hope they'll take care of her mentally. She already looks exhausted from all the pressure of the Olympics.

Disappointing final flight of skaters.
I loved Sofia Muravieva. She was the highlight of this event. I’m glad she moved up to 5th place. Another National Team (top 6 finish)

Anna Frolova lost the bronze medal due to sloppiness. Her “Cats” program is so Juniorish and she was losing levels on her spins towards the end. I yelled as I knew it might make a difference and it did. Her consistency is amazing!! But, I’m kind of glad to not see this Cats program at the Olympics. Anna can do better.

Maria 😍 (what a highlight for me). Those two 4T’s were pure grit and determination. I was always a fan of Anna P. and Maria could have really just made the Olympics with that skate, had Russia been allowed three skaters. What a story this could have been!!

Adelia was a fighter. Look at those a combos in the end: 3Lz 2A 2A, 3F 3T, 3F 3T…. So amazing and and shows what a fighter she is. In an international competition, the 4T would have been <. Her SP would have scores 80-81ish and this free skate would have scored 140-145ish. So, I think this is a good result for her. 220+ can put her in the podium at the Olympics. Also, her triples have improved. She left out her worst triple, the 3S… haha!!! The 3A was actually her saving grace at this competition. The 4T she nails in practice. But, not during competition.

The battle for the Olympic gold medal will be fierce between Ami, Kaori, Alysa, Adeliya and maybe Mone.

Strange feeling. The last few years it felt like we had a definitive winner, and the top 2 far from their best although Zakharova had maybe the performance of her career. But I think/hope she will be even better next year since she already has gone through puberty and has a quad. I think they'd like her at an international competition too she has her mother coaching her and looks the part of a beautiful figure skater. Devastated for Kamilla not being ahead of Mura, that was a robbery.

Can someone tell me what the funding arrangement is please? Is it top 6 to get funding as part of the national team?

The 3a should have been called under and the 4t should have been downgraded. In addition, the PCS should have been no higher than 64. However, adding the second 3f/3t in the bonus, to compensate for popped 4t, was gutsy. This would have scored 130 to 133 at Olympics.
