Ilia could really dumb down his content in the team event and still win. As I’ve suggested many times, he could only do a 3 quad FS in the team event and still be the top man. Save the 4Axel for the individual event.

I think it was smart to pull back from some of his quads,he did enough to win & avoided the chance of a fall or injury. These quads put a lot of stress on the body so it was a smart move on his part.

Andrew tonight basically did what Ross Miner did in 2018 at the pre-Olympics Nationals and he was justly left off the team. Torgashev’s world championships record is as follows: 21st in 2023 and 22nd in 2025. Andrew’s Olympic team selection certainly is NOT guaranteed and with good reason.
