2015-2016 Programs by Discipline

According to ISU's FB page, Stephane Lambiel will be choreographing Elizabeta Tuktamysheva's SP and LP for this season.

From the post:

Stéphane Lambiel to choreograph new programs for Elizaveta Tuktamysheva. From the Tass.ru article:

The 18-year-old figure skater and her coach will leave for Switzerland, where for six days she will be engaged in formulation of short and long programs under the guidance of the silver medalist in Turin, two-time world champion Stéphane Lambiel.

"Lambiel - my good friend and to some extent former student," said Mishin. "His candidacy was not chosen by chance. I think it is an athlete who may, according to their athletic performance was not among the prominent skaters, but the Yet, such is the level of his talent. For me Lambiel - a great athlete."

Well Rika's choices are very interesting. I don't think this is exactly her style, her SP is more like Akiko's style, but it is good they will try some different music. Anyway I'm happy that her choreographer is Akiko and I can't wait what she will show us next season.

I actually think dynamic music with strong character is what suits Rika best, and even though these choices may at first appear rather unexpected perhaps, I'm actually excited to see how these programs will turn out for her.:)

Akiko has really jumped into the world of Choreography with both feet so soon after retirement too. I can't wait to see Rika and Nitada's programs.
It's as Kenji Miyamoto always feared. He said that Akiko would put him out of work.
Of course, there is plenty of work for both of them. :cheer:

I find Rika's choices very interesting, too... Especially the FS, I think that the right pieces from Riverdance could a marvellous vehicle for her charming personality on the ice. On the other side, I'm also very excited to see what Akiko will produce as a choreographer: the female Jeffrey Buttle? ;)

Oh, Rika, did you really have to choose Riverdance? There will be a lot comparations with Jason. At least I will do that. Nevertheless, I hope Akiko will do magic when creating her programs. :cheer:

Is it confirmed that mirai is skating to demons for her short program or was that just a rumor? Didn't she use her demons ex as a short at the Sante fe competition?

The report that she's using Demons as her SP came from her using it as at the Santa Fe competition.

Mirai's LP is to the Great Gatsby soundtrack, specifically "Young and Beautiful" by Lana del Rey (love this song!) and "Back to Black" (covered by Beyoncé for the movie, although I vastly prefer the original by Amy Winehouse, which is one of my all-time favorite songs)!

And do I assume correctly that Mirai's Great Gatsby FS information also is from the Santa Fe comp?

(Not doubting it ... just spelling out the FS source, if it is indeed the source, b/c not mentioned in your post.)

Yes, both are sourced from the same poster at FSU (who I believe posts here occasionally as well) who is Facebook friends with someone who took video of Mirai's performances at Santa Fe. Unfortunately, that Facebook account is private (I asked) but the Santa Fe Skating Club also confirmed it either via Facebook or Twitter, I forgot.

From interview with Elena Kustarova:

Ilinykh/Zhiganshin:FD music is Frida
Yanovskaya/Mozgov:SD-My Sweet and Tender Beast, FD-Great Gatsby

From the recent GS article, Astakhova and Rogonov are using:
Sergei Komolov and coach Dmitriev, they mounted their new short program to “The Artist” soundtrack and their free skating to a selection of different music pieces.

Thx, BB :).
Santa Fe Skating Club had tweeted about Mirai's SP (but not about her FS, AFAIK).

Shoma Uno will skate his new short program at Fantasy on Ice in Makuhari this weekend, and part of his new free program at Dreams on Ice (June 12-14). (x)

Not a single POTO or Carmen announced yet. I know it's way too early still, but I'll allow myself a little happy dance.

Oh yay. Isabella Tobias will be back, Diva Extraordinaire. She's like another Cher of the Skating World. Or Gloria Swanson at the end of Sunset Blvd (I can't decide which is more appropos!). ;)
