lol, i don't like the vocal version of Nessun Dorma....
Hopefully Shoma's version is the instrumental one.

Max is skating to Nessum Dorma?

um... if you would allow me to say this, on behalf of Max and his fans, please wait until you see Max skate his FPs in GP season, noskates. And get ready yourself, cause on his good day hitting all jumps Max may grab your heart. ;) I really wanna see noskates with  or :jaw:, instead of

Go Max! now you've got a mission, for the sake of your devoted fans, to let noskates fall in love with your Nessum Dorma.

Gosh, didn't know anyone cared what I thought. I'm not opposed to Max at all if he skates with style and consistency. As I've said over and over and over and over, I think Max is a really sweet young man - and yes, I have met him. I just don't get the choice of classical music. He's such a fast skater and powerful skater - would have preferred something a little less dramatic and more upbeat. This is just another Carmen to me.

First I must rib you gently, noskates :) Actually, we have already seen the two-week old version of Max's Nessun Dorma, as he did his new programs at WTT. Please do watch the video. It is lovely already.

Perhaps you ought to sit down before I tell you Max's free skate music. If you are anti-Nessun Dorma, I fear you will not like to hear of the Black Swan.

Shoma's is also the vocal version.
But the singer is different from Max's (Pavarotti), Paul Potts, I suppose.

Um. Jeremy is white, yes? Er, how does he suffer from racism in America at all? Tbh, a white guy skating to that is offensive.

 I love that track, but he'll have to bleep out half the lyrics.

I always like it when rap songs use the 'reverse the word like your pulling the record back like a dj doing his thang' technique to sensor instead of the bleeps. No wait....bleeps would be all sorts of fun for a live event.

Kanye is just so bad at rap that I hope they just bleep the whole <BLEEPIN> thing

Park So Youn also debuted her new EX in Denis' show. It is 'Dear Future Husband'.

Well, some people might want to talk about that? Not everything has to be 'pleasant' as far as I know in this thread, does it? I don't wish to be rude, but that really comes across like trying to control the conversation. There are threads that have no interest to me at times, but other people are interested or having fun so I just move on and wait for the conversation to turn or make a post and see if anyone bites. It wasn't the posing a question about Hanyu that bugged me. That is something that interests you more at the moment and that is great. And I expect plenty will join you in that discussion. It was the capitalised 'anyways' like we haven't got any right to talk about aspects of Abbot's program because you don't like it. It came across as very dismissive.

Oh My. Consider me gently ribbed.

(I did watch the video)

It is already lovely, is it not? Be sure to watch the Black Swan video too. Sure, it was obvious that both programs were still heavily in the developmental stage, but they were already amazing. :)

I agree completely. I'm not opposed to skaters using rap, but when a rap song is explicitly about suffering anti-black racism in the US, it's really inappropriate for Jeremy to skate to it.

That said, it's got a great beat and I can see why it would be fun to perform to. Perhaps if he skated without the lyrics it would be less of an issue.

This might be a stupid question (and if it doesn't get answered here I'll post it in the Stupid Questions thread), but do skaters need to get permission from the artist to use music that isn't in public domain? Like, would Jeremy had to have gotten permission from Kanye West to skate to this song? If the artist doesn't have an issue with a white skater skating to his music, then that also reduces the problem.
