By the potential scoring the podium should be Trusova, Kihira, Kostornaya or Trusova, Kostornaya, Kihira. Will depend of who makes mistakes. Clean Konstantinova have a shoot too but she needs Rus Fed support in internationals competitions, not only nationals. Mako Yamashita, Eunsoo Lim and Young You are strong outsiders and can be on podium with others mistakes. Even if i don't see Young You medal. Yuhana Yokoi have no chance to make the top 6 unless others bomb seriously and she's clean (which is rare)

I want Lucrezia Beccari, Ting Cui and Yi christy Leung to be in top 10.

I definitely prefer Eunsoo Lim. Young... probably got overhyped due to her 2016 nationals victory. But as I rewatched it, I noticed her jumps actually were UR or close to UR almost all the time and the technique isn't great. She still has the technique, though she rotates a little better. Still... Outside of the jumps she's not very remarkable and I really don't get what all the hype is about. And the jumps themselves... For a slight hint, watch a Rika Kihira jump and You Young jump in slow-mo after one another and compare the aerial rotational position - Kihira's is far superior and that probably is a large reason for why she can so effortlessly perform 3As and all.

Young to me is at this point in time a very low PCS skater whose calling card is that she can land jumps. That just isn't enough in this day and age when so many other skaters can land them as well - You need something else to stand out. It's hard to see either of the Koreans finishing on the podium if I'm being honest, I believe the podium is rather predetermined and only the specific order is up in the air. Hoping for Eunsoo at #4, however.
i think the opposite, imo Eunsoo emote less and You is better at emoting and interpretation... Eunsoo have better jumps though and correct edge (You 3F dge can be iffy at times) well but its a matter of preference. What i'm sad is that korean skaters tend to lose level in spins and stsq, they've been getting level 2s and 3s all season... i hope their coach can fix this asap

Sofia Sula is in. I am really happy for her. I hope she skates very well! :)
nice! she's one of few junior skaters in JGP that got both StSq4 in SP and FS this season!

I'm hoping Shevchenko/Eremenko can pull off an upset in dance and finish ahead of at least one of the top 2 teams from the JGPF. They already pulled off a few upsets this season by winning JGP Riga and getting the silver at Russian Junior Nationals. They need to work on getting those SD levels to challenge. It was nice discovering them this season with their great musicality and modern, creative choreography.

Kostornaya can’t win. The judges know that Trusova is coming in with one or two quads and they’re expecting her to win. So she will. Konstantinova and Kihira will battle for bronze. But Ensoo has a chance if she’s completely clean and others make mistakes. The US ladies could both be top 10, I think.

If Trusova falls and URs the quad, Kostornaia definitely can win. But if Trusova either rotates or lands it, I really don't think Kostornaia has a chance. And even if Trusova does fall and UR the quad, she most likely will need to make another mistake in order for her to lose.

I can't help but notice horrible quality of ice and abysmally low number of spectators there. Quality of streaming and coverage is low too. What is the reason of this? Was it always like this before in Bulgaria or even in other JWCs too? It's a shame, really.
