That's my major problem with H/D. They are good performers, which I think hides some of the sloppiness in their skating. Not a fan of their FD either.

Well, fortunately the technical panel disagreed. And overscored doesn't even begin to cover it.

*&*^^ judges gave undeserved high scores to PC to keep them very close so they can win the FD and the gold.....so so so obvious....flagrantly...aside from the mistake for PC to actually win the PCS.....no words

I don't think it's necessary to question anyone's intelligence.

You're focusing on skating skills but the score is more than that. I love P/C but the replays clearly show Gabriella being very distracted several times during the program. That was not reflected in the marks. Perhaps P/C should still be in second but the marks should have reflected what happened on the ice. That's a valid complaint with a complete understanding of P/C's wonderful skating skills.

Agreed. PC should have lower scores in both Performance and Interpretation, because of her being distracted, as well as the tentative quality of the 2nd half.

I suspect that with Olympic nerves you don't quite get the catch done all the way maybe.

I just hope it doesn't unnerve her for tomorrow. I'll say that I'm glad for her sake that she's French and not American (thinking of what happened to Janet Jackson).

The whole time I could sense her incredible anxiety, and I thought it was so uncharacteristic for her. I hadn't realized the dress had come undone. She's a brave person.

The back edge of the front looked like it slipped forward during one of the early elements, especially on her left side. My instinctual thought was that it was falling off but then I thought it might just be an effect of like tassling given that the costume had been redone. The moment things got more intense I was sure it was falling off though because it looked her back strap was just hanging on to her left shoulder (through heroic work on her part!). My roommate seemed to go through exactly the same thought process with me. I was almost sure it was going to go on the lift (and I think it nearly did, maybe why it looked like she was stumbling).

I’m ok either way in terms of the level. Is this the same panel from the Team event? That panel seemed much more strict on level calling. That is what surprised me about VM getting the level 4.

What power? At europeans I saw them live and they were the slowest couple in the top 10. He is great, yes. But Gabby... Well, I can say that she is better than Madi at least.
